1. Pool Rental To Local Swim Team
Janie received a request from South Austin Area Barracudas swim team to use our pool
for practice on three afternoons next week, Tuesday-Thursday, April 27th-29th, 2:00-4:00
p.m. They will pay $100.00 per day for the rental. The dates are those when no one is
using the pool before the daily season opens.
Vote: All 4 present in favor, provided that the team lists our HOA and pool on the
insurance. We will use the additional funds for pool furniture. We want to put a notice
on our Web site so members are aware about others using the pool at that time and that
we will profit from the usage.
2. Financial Report (Alliance)
a. Budget: we are in budget for all except water usage, and that might be caused by
pump malfunction. Members have expressed appreciation for moving the past-
due date back one month. Members who have said that are now on a payment
plan, so it has been a positive action by the BOD.
b. Insurance Quotes: Kim is gathering quotes from insurance for renewal.
3. Entry Landscaping Concerns
a. Kim is getting estimates on replacements of the dead plants. Henry asked and
Kim confirmed that the company will submit a proposal with suggested plants and
we will review/approve.
b. We expressed that we need perennials that are native or adapted to our
environment.
4.Pool concerns
a. Maintenance: Pool Co. will pick up broken furniture; Louis will be available.
Pump #3 is out again per Kim, and we will have it repaired.
b. Camera – Kim: proposal for an extra camera so we have 2 working at a time to
give maximum view. Cost for extra camera = $1,012.68.
Vote: All 4 present in favor
c. Lights – Henry asked about drawings of the pool specs for info about the lighting
and Kim said they were not available. Kim will schedule a meeting with Steven
to review the lighting schematic.
5. Covenant Enforcements
Nancy brought up main ideas from review of report from Kim for January-April 2010:
We are monitoring and giving warnings, and statistics show the warnings are effective.
6. Pet Committee
Nancy presented the idea of a Pet Action Team, an ad-hoc committee to help identify the
current pet/stray/feral situation, brainstorm approaches, work with local groups such as
Scout troops, and develop an action plan to present to the BOD. Nancy will chair the
group and solicit involvement through the newsletter.
